smart premieres with Shazam at the Brussels Motor Show

smart gives its presence at the Brussels Motor Show an extra touch by making both their brochures and their cars on the booth Shazamable. Proximus Skynet Advertising sells this revolutionary technology of visual recognition exclusively in Belgium.


The pages of the different models in the official brochure can be scanned using Shazam (via the camera icon in the app). The visitors then arrive on a mobile web page with contact information, videos and the possibility to request a test drive. The brochure (which is available both on the Motor Show and with the dealers) is printed on 30,000 copies.


smart uses he unique capabilities of Shazam visual recognition to connect offline to online, and to offer the spectator dynamic content. At the Brussels Motor Show, smart adds a new dimension to this, which also means a Belgian premiere: the cars on the booth will be Shazamable by means of a sticker. In addition to the information listed above, users also have also the opportunity here to win a weekend in the model they Shazamed.


Shazam's visual recognition is a new concept offering advertisers unprecedented opportunities to give a digital dimension to their print and offline media. As smart proves with their Shazamable cars, the offline part does need even needs to be limited to print media. You can see and test this revolutionary technology at the smart booth in Hall 7 of the Brussels Motor Show between 12 and 24 January 24, 2016.


Shazam has between 5.5 and 6 million users in Belgium. They use the app to recognize music, interact with TV spots and now also with offline campaigns. The Shazam app is available for Android, Apple and Windows, respectively, in the Google Play Store, with iTunes and the Microsoft Store.
